Is a passionate special educator with five years classroom experience and two plus years in administration in Washington, DC Public Charter Schools. In addition to Nicole’s experience, her Master’s in Education in Elementary and Special Education and Certificate in Teaching English in a Second Language provides her with a wealth of knowledge that she utilizes to provide top tier instruction to diverse students. Nicole’s favorite part of the special education process is working closely with caregivers to empower them with tools to be apart of their child’s academic and social growth. Nicole loves working with students and some ways she has done that through her work is a Girls Running club and Post-Secondary Transition Events. She is excited to be apart of LiveWellEd to apply her extensive knowledge of special education to bridge the gaps of the complex system between home and schools.

Angie Zara is a national presenter, full time education specialist, and expert in trauma informed practices and social and emotional learning. Serving in her 10th year in education, Angie holds her Master’s in Education and a Certification in Applied Educational Neuroscience. After spending seven years as highly skilled teacher, Angie has used her expertise and educational leadership to coach and support adults in practices that help children thrive socially, emotionally, and behaviorally. In addition to national presenting and working full time as coach for DC Public Schools, Angie serves as an adjunct faculty for Butler University’s Applied Educational Neuroscience Certification Program. Angie is passionate about child and adult well being and brings her passion to LiveWellEd to support social and emotional learning and behavior support.
